Information collected
If you join the newsletter, we store the email address you submit, the time of consent and the subscription source. Contact-form enquiries store the name, email address, optional phone number, enquiry category and message you provide so the team can respond. Google Analytics may collect usage information such as visited pages, approximate location, device and browser details, referral source and interaction events. Editorial authentication may process account identity information to protect the publishing area.
How information is used
Newsletter information is used only to manage publication updates, subscription preferences and notify the Digital Gaming World editorial team about a new signup. It is not sold. Operational and diagnostic information may be processed for security, reliability, performance monitoring and abuse prevention.
Error and performance monitoring
The site uses Sentry to detect browser errors and performance problems. Diagnostic events may include an error stack trace, page URL, browser and device information, and timing data. Session replay may be sampled to help reproduce an error; text is masked, media is blocked, user information is disabled and HTTP request bodies are not sent.
Third-party media and links
Videos use YouTube’s privacy-enhanced embed domain where practical. A third-party service may process data when you play an embedded video or follow an external link. Its own privacy terms apply.
Retention and choices
Newsletter records are retained while a subscription is active and for a limited period afterward when needed to honour opt-out requests. Every marketing message should provide an unsubscribe mechanism.
Cookies
The site uses Google Analytics to understand traffic and improve its content and performance. Google Analytics may store analytics cookies and process pseudonymous usage information. The site does not intentionally set advertising cookies at launch.
Visitor counter
The public visit counter records one count per browser session using session storage. The counter does not intentionally store an IP address, name or email address.
